"I heard fillers are risky and collagen stimulators are safe. Is that true?"
I hear this often in consultations.
But a natural-looking treatment is not automatically the better one.
Today, let's take a closer look at collagen stimulators first.

1. What kinds of collagen stimulators are there?

Well-known examples include Sculptra, Radiesse and Juvelook.
Many similar products have appeared recently, so there are now many options.
They work by stimulating your skin's own collagen production, restoring volume gradually.

2. The biggest advantage: a natural look

People tend to say "You look great lately" rather than "What did you have done?"
That's why they're popular with people who dislike obvious changes.

3. If you want better skin quality along with volume

They suit people who want to improve skin elasticity, pores and tone as well as volume.
So in consultation, I first ask what you really want and then decide on the direction.

4. Remember: they are hard to reverse

Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with an enzyme injection.
However, collagen stimulators have no reversal injection, so correction may take a long time with various injections or lasers.

5. Why they shouldn't be used like filler

That's why it's important to keep proper intervals between sessions (at least about a month).
Injecting a large amount at once, the way filler is used, should be avoided.

Rather than labeling treatments as "safe" or "risky," what matters is using them in a way that suits your face.
Every procedure carries possible side effects such as bruising, swelling, asymmetry or nodules, and results may vary from person to person.
